About this deal

From the terrifying Tyrannosaurus Rex to the feathery Archaeopteryx, this family-friendly and easy to play game includes all that's needed for a fun-filled game of dinosaur bingo. Even some of the more “boring” dinosaurs looked really good, such as the hadrosaurs, much to my pleasant surprise. For bingo to work effectively students must cover their boards on their own - meaning that they will be building those skills independently. Dinosaur Bingo - Play bingo with a huge Giganotosaurus, an armour-plated Stegosaurus and many other fearsome dinosaurs in this fun and engaging take on the classic game. I’ve played several times with my kids, and they’ve played with their grandparents too, and it has proven a hit with them!

While I wouldn’t necessarily say Dinosaur Bingo a must-have, since it’s just a basic bingo game with a theme, the bright, colorful illustrations do still make it fun to play, and have kept my own kids coming back to it. This fun and engaging take on a classic game is beautifully illustrated by Caroline Selmes and can be played with three to eight people, making it the perfect game for dinosaur-mad children to enjoy with their entire family. Dinosaur Bingo is not only fun, but it also helps develop important skills such as pattern recognition, concentration, and hand-eye coordination. With 8 different cards, the whole family can join in and play along, but it will always be the junior members of the family who can name them all first! A few odd design choices also stick out, such as the decision to leave an otherwise good-looking Ornithomimus featherless, or labeling what looks like some kind of theropod as Micropachycephalosaurus.

For previous games I’ve reviewed, check out my posts on Samantha Turner‘s browser games THE BIG DIE and Lemme Splash! Many kids have a natural interest in dinosaurs so including them in a science or history topic is a fantastic way to nurture that interest. Dinosaur Barrier Game - Barrier games are a fun way to develop children’s speaking and listening skills. The first player to get 4 in a row (whether vertical, horizontal, or diagonal) wins, though the game instructions also suggest an alternate long-form version of the game involving completely filling up the players’ boards. Dinosaur-Themed Phonopoly Game - This board game uses phonics and dinosaurs to engage children with their learning.

I don’t mean to sound overly negative, as on the whole the entire set is very pleasing to the eye, and the number of good illustrations outweigh the so-so ones.If you have more than 10 players you can break them up into small groups and play in groups of 2-3 players.

Play dinosaur bingo with a huge Giganotosaurus, an armour-plated Stegosaurus and many other fearsome dinos, in a kids edition of the popular adult Bingo game. As is so often the case in various forms of paleomedia, most of the feathered dinosaurs tended to fare the worst, with “sleeves” of feathers rather than wings in the case of critters like Oviraptor and Velociraptor, or the old “wings, but with hands” trope, with Archaeopteryx sticking its fingers out at odd angles rather than forming the anchor for its wings. This resource includes bingo boards with just pictures of the dinosaurs, just their names, and a combination of the two so you can use whichever one suits your classes needs better! With huge Giganotosaurus, an armour-plated Stegosaurus and many other fearsome dinosaurs, take turns to draw one of the 48 cards out of the dinosaur head holder and see who can get a line or full house first. It is accepted by you that Daunt Books has no control over additional charges in relation to customs clearance.
