About this deal

The quality of the products does not correspond to the premium class that the Poltava Diamond Tools plant produces today :(.

Now the PDTools factory, Ukraine is selling a new line for the USA, which is glued to an aluminum substrate, but the seller does not provide this information when selling. I would go with the 800 CBN after the Metallic CBN 1K,also if you don't do a lot of sharpening the Venev stones in the lower grits work really well and will last a very long also, just be sure to get aluminum oxide powder to flatten them with.I was looking at getting something different and the resin bonded CBN stones at gritomatic or practical sharpening is what I’m leaning towards. I'm no pro, but in my experience it works well for free-hand sharpening as long as I remember to use a light touch.

Keep the metallic bonded for the heavy duty grinding and metal removal, and the resin-bonded for refining and finishing. Metallic CBN may become darker over time due to natural metal oxidizing, it does not affect the sharpening. One side has a fast, aggressive 400-mesh (about 37 micron) and on the other side is a somewhat slower cutting 800-mesh (about 15 micron). And when restrictions on setting the microbevel were implemented I saw sharpness decreasing at a faster rate.Made by Spyderco Knives, this Super abrasive Benchstone was developed with the true knife enthusiast in mind. Metallic CBN Sharpening Stones from Poltava Diamond Tools are used for sharpening knives using guided knife sharpeners (Hapstone, TSPROF, and other Edge Pro-compatible sharpening systems). I believe that the grit grades on these stones are ramped up to a point of not being true and correct.
